Guacamole... simple to make, delicious to eat.

Yes, avocados are high in fat, but it is a "good" fat. Use veggies instead of chips to reduce calories.

Avocados, lime & salt


2 ripe avocados
2 limes
1 tsp. salt
¼ cup minced red onion
8 oz. can diced green chiles
1 Roma tomato, diced
Optional: 1 Tbsp. chopped cilantro, Tabasco sauce


Peel and pit avocados. Place in large shallow bowl. Squeeze limes over avocado; sprinkle with salt. Use a fork to mash avocados. Add onion, chiles and tomato.

Some people hate cilantro; others insist on cilantro in their guacamole. If you like cilantro, add it now. Stir together and taste. If you like more heat, add a little Tabasco.
